1st Quarter Stories

On September 11th, the CES Choir and the 3rd and 5th grades gave a recital about the brave people who stood up for America.  First the choir did a song called "We Remember."  The 3rd graders sang "America" and then the 5th graders performed a dance to the song "Yankee Doodle."  Mrs. Johnson read a poem that she really liked.  That was a day we should all remember.

4th Grade Field Trip by Makayla Hagewood

Our 4th Grade went on a  field trip to the county fair on Sept. 4, 2008.  We went to the fair grounds to see animals from all around our county. We learned safety rules about how to drive on an ATV. We also learned how to make yarn out of wool.  We were taught  how to ride a horse with a saddle.  Everyone had  fun and learned so much on the field trip.
