Our goal is to deliver high quality primary care to the employees and dependents of Dickson Co., City and Dickson County School System.
Who
can use us?
Clinic Services are available to all
employees of the Dickson County School System, County, or City and their
family members with company insurance. For a small fee, we also serve family
members not on company insurance for sick visits only. We do not currently
offer primary care services to dependents not insured by the School System,
County, or City; however, we will be happy to help you locate a local
provider, if needed.
Retired employees and dependents may use the clinic. Fees may apply if
you no longer carry the School System, County, or City insurance.
Please bring your work ID and insurance card to every visit.
How we function
We strive to offer the most services we can at the lowest cost. We
have one full time secretary, a full time provider, and one part time
provider. In order to give high quality timely service we have a set number
of appointments. This allows the provider flexibility to spend more time
with you if needed, and complete any charting prior to the arrival of the
next patient. We can only accommodate walk-in’s when there are two providers
here. We do our very best to see you within 24 hours of your call, but this
is not always feasible. We understand that scheduling can be frustrating and
ask that you be respectful to us as we try to accommodate as many people as
possible.
Appointments
Appointments are available Monday through Friday; typically we can see you within 24 hours of your call. Our schedule is arranged specifically to meet our patient’s needs. If you are late, you may be asked to reschedule your appointment. We request you give as much notice as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment.
Walk-In Visits
Walk-in visits are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We have a certain number of walk in slots, so if we are unable to see you on a walk-in day, we will assist you in scheduling the next available appointment on the following business day. Physicals and primary care issues need to be scheduled in advance.
Discount Lab
Program
Many lab tests are offered through Quest at a discounted rate. Fees vary by test and payment is due the date of service. For more information ask our staff.
Medication Refills
When medications need to be refilled, please check with your pharmacy to see if refills are available. If a refill is needed, please ask the pharmacy to fax a request or you may call/
email us. We will respond to your request within one business day. All requests should be handled during normal business hours. We may need to see you in the clinic before issuing a refill. Your individual health conditions will determine how often you need to be seen.
After hours
In case of emergency there is a provider on call to give medical advice. They may be paged at
615-217-5651. When you hear the beeps enter your number and the # sign.
For life threatening issues, call 911 or go immediately to the nearest Emergency Room. The provider cannot call in controlled medications.
Transferring Medical Records
When records or information needs to be shared with an outside provider, you will be required to sign a medical release. This is to protect your privacy. Please allow one week for this transaction to be processed.
Email
If you would like to be kept up to date about clinic changes and activities please ask Mandy to add you to our list or email us at
schoolclinic@dcbe.org . We check our emails often, but request that any time sensitive or urgent matters be handled via telephone.
School/Work Notes
We routinely provide excuse notes for the time you spend in the clinic. Notes are given at the providers’ discretion. We do not back date notes to cover dates for which you were not under our care.
Inclement Weather
Your care is important to us. In the event of inclement weather we will make every attempt to be here, regardless of school closing. There are times, for the safety of our staff, we may need to open late or close the clinic. Please call ahead to make sure we are open.
