Friday, May 18		
Graduation at 7:30PM in the Stadium

Graduation for the class of 2012 is scheduled tonight at 7:30, in the stadium.  Students planning to participate in our graduation ceremony should plan on being at graduation practice tomorrow, May 17, from 9AM until noon in the stadium.  Those students not at practice this Thursday will not be allowed to march on Friday night.  Be at practice even if it is raining.  You can check our website at Dicksoncountyhighschool.com for up to the minute information about practice Thursday morning and graduation Friday night in case of inclement weather.
Teachers please find a bulletin regarding graduation duties in your box today.  

We encourage our undergraduate students to give a self-addressed stamped envelope to your homeroom teacher before leaving school for summer vacation.  Those who do not turn in an envelope will have to pick up your report card between 8 - 9:30 on the morning of Friday, May 25.  Dress code will still be in effect on that day.  You can buy a stamped envelope for $1.00 in the main office starting today.

 Freshmen on an A schedule today
 Sports – Our Cougar Soccer team made history again last night by becoming the first Cougar Soccer Team to win a regional championship.  It came down to a Cougar/Commando Shoot out won by our Cougars in a triple over time, lightning delayed thriller!  Our Cougars have earned the right to join the top 16 teams in the state of Tennessee that will battle this Saturday for a place in the Elite 8 of Tennessee’s state soccer tournament next week.  We will host Ravenwood here this Saturday night at 7PM.
 Taverian Barnett and Cody Baker have earned the right to represent DCHS in the state tournament next week at MTSU.  “T-Body” will run the 100m dash.  Cody will throw the discus. 
 AST, ASA, and tutoring will be held in the front café every afternoon except Friday of this week.
