  • The football team will play at West Wilson in the MCAC Bowl tomorrow.
  • The MCAC volleyball tournament continues today and tomorrow. DMS JV is scheduled Friday @ 5:15 p.m., varsity Saturday @ noon.
  • The golf team hosts the MCAC tournament Monday at Dickson Country Club.
  • The first 9 weeks grading period ends today.
  • Students and staff, have a great fall break!
  • The Dragon Walk is today, as is the DCHS homecoming.
  • DMS will honor our veterans Nov. 13 with a special assembly in the school gym. Students may chose one veteran family member each to honor at our program.

Our Mission

 

The mission of Dickson Middle School is to provide a safe, nurturing environment that prepares students academically by meeting state and local standards while enabling them to reach their full potential physically, socially, and emotionally in order that they may be prepared for high school and life beyond the classroom.

 

Our Beliefs

We believe:

Our Vision

At Dickson Middle School students will be safe and will be given valuable opportunities to explore and excel in all academic areas.  High expectations for all students will result in high student performance, consequently eliminating achievement disparities among students.  We will continuously seek to strengthen the relationship between teacher and parent, a major factor in student success.  Dickson Middle School will strive to meet students’ social, physical, and emotional needs through related arts classes and programs that focus on the well-being of the child.  Dickson Middle School will attract and retain highly qualified teachers and provide them with professional opportunities.  All stake holders within the school and community will have ownership in the success of our school and its students.
