DMS JV Volleyball Beat Cheatham

         On August 26, 2008 the DMS volleyball team played Cheatham Middle School. The starting players were Laura Littleton #1, Katelyn Rimner#11, Josie Smith#10, Kennedi Little#18, Brooke Simms#40/McKenzie Bailey#5, and Catlin Jones#31. Brook Simms was the labero. She goes in for outside when placement is check.

         Catlin Jones, Brooke Simms, and Josie Smith had 3 serve aces, and Laura had 1 serve ace. A serve ace is when you serve and no one touches the ball or the ball is shanked. Shanked means you hit the ball but it goes off to the side and is un play able.

         There were many good saves. Josie Smith had 3 kills and Catlin Jones, Katelyn Rimner, and Anna Truett had 1 kill. A kill is when you spick the ball and it is not touched or shanked. Everyone that played had many hit errors but, still won the game.
