The MSCCA
Calendar is going to be having some changes to it in next couple of weeks. We
are in the process of confirming some dates.
The dates
of the Tennessee Classic and
The TSSAA
has moved the State Cross Country Meet from Saturday November 1st to
the day before on Friday October 31st. Mark your calendars!

Coaches of the
MSCCA met on November 10th to discuss issues involved with the
association. The following items were voted in for the 2008 cross country
season.
v In 2008 the
All-Mid State Standings will be based upon 3 races instead of 2. The 3 races
will include:
1.
The MSCCA Pre-Season Meet
2.
The MSCCA Championship Meet
3.
The
**Runners who do not qualify for the state meet or do not run
in the state meet may use a time from the Tennessee Classic or

§ Runners must also
be part of the varsity team races to be eligible for the MSCCA Team. No JV
times will qualify for the MSCCA teams.
§ The distance for
middle school races will be at the race director’s discretion. The MSCCA
Middle School Championships will be run at a distance of 2 miles. This race
will continue to be a qualifier for the KTC/Tennessee Runner State Middle
School Championships.
§ Coaches discussed
the problems with coaches and schools that do not turn in entries on time.
The policy effective next year will be as follows:
Coaches who do not turn in entries on time via the internet
will not be allowed to run in the Pre-Season or Championship races. Coaches
will be allowed to run their teams in the JV races.
