Education Training and Human Services Education

TeacherStudents in Education Training and Human Services Education program are students who are thinking of careers pathways that relate to families and human needs or students who are considering becoming teachers. Everyone is part of a family and the Education Training and Human Services Education program focuses on careers and services that serve families and their needs. Whether it's child care providers, social workers, serving and hospitality, health care or education this program lays a solid foundation for many aspects of these industries. 

CTE classes in the Education & Training pathway will introduce students to a variety of careers including:

Superintendent, principal or administrator
Teacher or instructor
Preschool or kindergarten teacher
Clinical, developmental or social psychologist
Social worker
Counselor
Teacher assistant
Child care worker

TeacherCTE classes in the Human Services pathway will introduce students to a variety of careers including:

Child care worker
Child, family or school social worker
Director of childcare facility
Preschool teacher
Parent educator
School counselor
Sociologist
Social services worker
Personal or home care aide
Leisure activities counselor/Recreation worker
Consumer credit counselor
Personal financial advisor
Consumer goods or services retailing representative or buyer

FCCLAFamily, Career and Community Leaders of America is the student organization for students in the Education Training and Human Services Education program. As with other student organizations, FCCLA provides students the opportunity to compete in various events across the country. Students will compete on topics that include family and consumer sciences skills, career skills, and interpersonal skills in these competitive events.
