New Creative Care Closing Policy |
| In past years, the staff salaries at TDS have been much
higher than the student fees collected on twelve-hour days,
in which schools were closed for inclement weather. With
this in mind, I have implemented a new snow day policy
regarding the cancellation of schools due to inclement
weather or any other unforeseen situation that may occur. |
| When schools in Dickson County are cancelled the night
before, or prior to 6:00 a.m., The Discovery School's
Creative Care Program will be closed, and it has been
prearranged for our students to attend the daycare
facilities at Oakmont Elementary, Stuart Burns, and White
Bluff. |
| If we have already begun the school day, we will keep
your child safe in our building until the regular 6:00 p.m.
pick-up time. |
